Formation of Bioresorbable Fe-Cu-Hydroxyapatite Composite by 3D Printing

Studies of the microstructure, phase composition and mechanical characteristics, namely microhardness metal–ceramic composites made Fe 90 wt.%–Cu 10 wt.% powder hydroxyapatite (Fe-Cu-HA), are presented in manuscript. The composite material was obtained using additive manufacturing based on 3D-printing method, with different content levels (40, 45 50%) polymer parts (60, 55 50%). It is shown that varying proportion Fe-Cu-HA does not significantly affect elemental compositions material. X-ray analysis showed presence three phases material: alpha iron, copper hydroxyapatite. experiment an increase component leads to defectiveness structure, as well microstresses. An properties (Vickers microhardness), along a decrease percentage from 50 40%, established. At same time, containing 45% demonstrated maximum by ~26% compared 50% powder, which due more uniform distribution components.
